Take the time to check the overall condition of your spa (seals, hoses, valves, acrylic shell, collars or clamps) to see if there is any problem or damage.<\/p>\n

Make all necessary repairs before you proceed. Contact a professional if you need help.<\/p>\n

Go through your cleaning products. If they\u2019re expired, throw them out. If you\u2019re missing any products, be sure to get them before you start up your spa. If you have an\u00a0 AquaChek<\/i> test kit, check the expiry date.<\/p>\n

Preparing the spa<\/b><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Make sure your spa is level.<\/li>\n
  2. Remove the wooden cover you used to winterize your spa.<\/li>\n
  3. Remove the spa cover and clean it using a spa cover cleaner.<\/li>\n
  4. Place the filter cartridges and basket in the skimmer.<\/li>\n
  5. Connect the motor, blower, light and ozonator (if applicable).<\/li>\n
  6. Make sure all ball valves installed at pipe ends are open.<\/li>\n
  7. Clean the acrylic shell using the appropriate cleaner.<\/li>\n
  8. Replace the jet inserts.<\/li>\n
  9. Fill the spa using a garden hose (up to 1\u00a0 cm below the lowest pillow).<\/li>\n
  10. Insert the hose in the area where the filter was located.<\/li>\n
  11. Turn ON the GFCI .<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. Turn off the jets, waterfall and air controls.<\/li>\n
  13. Remove the drain plug to drain your spa.<\/li>\n
  14. Fill the spa again using a garden hose (up to 1\u00a0 cm below the lowest pillow).<\/li>\n
  15. Insert the hose in the area where the filter was located.<\/li>\n
  16. Turn ON the GFCI.<\/span><\/li>\n
